***UPDATE FROM GNOME HEADQUARTERS***

It has been brought to our attention that a group of impassioned Gentlegnomes have barricaded themselves on the roof of Saffron Cottage and are refusing to come down. Calls are flooding into Gnome Headquarters advising of this most rare and unusual display.

The Gnomes have advised that they will stay on the roof for “however long it takes” or until “the Clown and McManagement” agree to discuss their concerns regarding the inevitable pollution and destruction of their habitat should McDonald’s go ahead with it’s plans to build in Tecoma.

Concerned locals have been providing food and water to the Gnomes throughout the day, many of which have pleaded with them to come down for their own safety. Chants can be heard ringing from the rooftops, including cries of “One solution, revolution!”, “The Gnomes united can never be defeated!” and “gNOme Maccas, gNOme Maccas NO!”.

Rolf Gnomington, spokesgnome for the group, has advised that this is “just the beginning” of a number of actions that the Hills Gnome factions will be launching against the McDonald’s Corporation over the coming weeks, adding “If they thought Gnomeageddon was bad – they aint seen nothing yet!”.
