Once again the “Tecoma Story” is being told far and wide. Tomorrow morning (Sunday 3rd) the NO McDonalds in The Dandenong Ranges campaign has been asked to be part of a panel on “Money and Power” at the Progressive Australia Conference being held at Sydney’s Technology Park in Redfern. Organised by the Chifley Research Centre the Money and Power panel will discuss balancing corporate interests with public interest. I think we can all agree that in Tecoma’s case McDonald’s have managed to promote their interests ahead of the public (community). The panel discussion will run from 11:00am until 12 noon and can be watched online via the following stream:

The Chifley research centre are also encouraging public participation via Twitter using the hashtag #progressiveoz
This conference will give Tecoma access to a wealth of progressive politicians, media and like minded organisations.
Please join in online for what should be a lively discussion and once again we can show the world we are the little town who roared.
