Passionate Hills children continue to inspire community campaigners with their enthusiasm and creativity.
The Banner shown here was created by children who attended our last Community meeting and the post below is a firsthand account from yesterday mornings site protest.
Both examples clearly indicate that James Currie and McDonalds will be considered UNWELCOME VISITORS to Tecoma for generations to come.
“Show me the boy at 7 years old and I will show you the man”

“I have a wonderful little story to share with you from this mornings protest at the site.
We were very lucky to have the Grade 5 students from Tecoma Primary School walk past the outlet on their way to Open Day at a Upwey High School.
I was absolutely overjoyed when one familiar little man greeted me by name and requested a ‘High 5’… This then started a ongoing procession of other High 5’s with most of the other students
My heart has been filled with hope and I would appreciate it if any parents of these children could pass on my heartfelt thanks.
I’ve heard similar stories of the Tecoma students yelling ‘No Maccas’ whilst traveling past the site but this is the first time I have witnessed the enthusiasm for our cause en masse during school hours.
These kids are my passion… it is their future and the future of my own girls that inspire me.
What I witnessed this morning should send alarm bells ringing at McDonald’s. This younger generation is currently being silenced at school due to the Education Dept insisting Tecoma Primary remains neutral. I look forward to these children starting High School where they will have the freedom to address the hottest topic in Tecoma. I have no doubt it will make for very interesting reading.
Resistance certainly remains fertile “
