PICKET KNITTERS ON 3AW DRIVE

Great to hear “Picket Knitter” Margaret on 3AW drive earlier this evening (Tom Elliott’s show). You can listen to the interview here. And wasn’t it great to hear Margaret point out to Tom his misconception that Tecoma is going well.

CHANGE.ORG HITS 2 MILLION USERS

change.org hits 2 million users

One of the strings to Tecoma’s campaign bow was the successful use of the Change.org petition platform. Change.org gave Tecoma the ability to reach out and take our story further than the Dandenong Ranges. You may have seen this morning, that Change.org has launched a short video featuring some of the victories they have helped be a part of

They have also published an e-book, which goes into a bit more depth on the rise of online people-power – We thought you might be interested in a read at some point. It’s here:

PICKET KNITTERS IN THE NEWS AGAIN

picket knitters in the news again

Another great article in this week’s Leader newspapers

The “Knitting Nanas” have been one of the many strings to our campaign’s bow as was shown at Monday’s Communities in Control conference.

Feel free to place some positive comments on this article. The “haters” perception of protesters is to paint a negative picture of assumed unemployed and “professional activists” Our Picket Knitters have quite simply dispelled that myth and we thank them for their continued passion.
