Dandenong Ranges expat’ Felicity Farnsworth made an unusual trip in support of Tecoma’s rejection of an unwanted McDonald’s presence. Felicity flew 15,562km (9760 miles for our US friends) from Chicago to deliver additional “squares” knitted in the states for incorporation in the on-going Picket Knitters project.

Felicity who relocated to the US a few years ago is passionate about the Dandenong Ranges, so much so that when our delegation was in Chicago last September Felicity and her family provided a range of logistical and campaign support which enabled the week in Chicago to be one of the most successful PR campaigns conducted by a grassroots community against McDonald’s.
