No Maccas Flash Mob Strikes

ScreenShot1397
Saturday the 31st of August was the day that our No Maccas Flash Mob struck Knox City Shopping Centre food court.

A large group of local residents had been practising for weeks for this surprise performance which was staged alongside McDonald’s Knox City outlet.

The song ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’ from Les Miserables was adapted to reflect our ongoing battle with McDonald’s and was sung beautifully by the talented bunch of singers.

The flash mob video is being spread far and wide, with over 34,000 views in less than a week, and has just been picked up by one of the largest and popular news aggregators in the US, The Huffington Post.

Yes, Tecoma truly is the little town that roared…

Hi Robyn – you can share the petition https://www.change.org/burgeroff and send a letter to your local McDonald’s franchisees telling them you will no longer be a customer unless McDonald’s pull out of Tecoma and cease legal action. Tends to get their attention 😉 Thank you!

A shiver down my spine! What an amazing protest and one that should be seen world wide!
I am proud of the folks of Tecoma..
The best a MacDonald Executive could say was that “suing the Tecoma Community would be good for the Community” – pure arrogance of a particularly ignorant nature..and one which deserves complete contempt by the whole of the AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITY!
I used to eat some of their product but never again..I find a hamburger from a good old fashioned Aussie Fish and Chip Shop leaves the plastic MacDonald’s product for dead…more substance and better taste!

I am not a regular patron of Maccas’ and I can now say that if theTecoma outlet gets underway, I will not be buying anything from any of their outlets ever. Don’t support them and picket the restaurant or distribute pamphlets to customers who stop there. This will eventually drive Maccas out of town.

Brilliant! We need less of this filth in our world. Companies like McDonald’s should be held responsible for the harm they have done to the worlds eating habits. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog, seriously.
