The people of Tecoma, Australia have shown overwhelmingly through action, petition and survey that they DO NOT want a McDonlalds built in their beautiful mountain community- McDonalds continues it’s attempt to force it’s way in.
Watch these campaign videos on Youtube- Reclaiming Tecoma and No McDonalds in the Hills
and sign this Petition on Change.org
This project/action puts a face to the voice of real people and demonstrates that we are not just a mass of unidentifiable objection but individuals living real lives who exist, not only locally, but far and wide.
This project/action will also show that people, not only have an affection for Tecoma and the Dandenong Ranges and it’s uniqueness, but that they are tired of multinational corporations forcing their way into communities against their will.
‘WHAT DO I DO?’-
Take a photograph or a short video clip of yourself in the location of your choice (preferably a landmark which places you at that location anywhere around the world) whilst holding a sign which reads- ‘NO MCDONALDS IN TECOMA’ with the web address burgeroff.org (http://www.burgeroff.org/) written across the bottom. The more creative the better. If your location is not clearly depicted in the photo/video then you could also write that on the sign or include it in your video clip.
