Tecoma says NO to McDonald’s –Join us this Sunday

Tecoma Said No
More traffic, more litter, more noise but no democracy.

Tecoma’s fight has gone from a local to an international issue with communities around the world following our lead and standing up to McDonald’s bullying tactics.

This Sunday marks the anniversary of our first street march last year that saw over 3000 Dandenong Ranges’ residents take to the streets of Belgrave and Tecoma in absolute disgust in the fact that McDonald’s went out of their way to undo democracy and the wishes of our community. Images of that first rally made front page news and our story made CNN which was ultimately tweeted to nearly 11 million people around the globe.

Tecoma had become the “little town who roared”

Join us this Sunday 2:00pm at Tecoma Primary School and learn how you too can “roar”. With plenty of actions designed to send McDonald’s the continuing message that they are not welcome and not wanted in Tecoma. McDonald’s CEO Catriona Nobel has already stated in the national media that “If we got Tecoma wrong it will be an expensive mistake” Let’s show McDonald’s that the foray into Tecoma will be an unprofitable folly which will go down in Australian corporate history as “Australia’s biggest PR disaster.”
