Over 4000 people gathered on Sunday 28th July and marched from Belgrave to Tecoma to the site of the proposed McDonalds in Tecoma. The rally heard from several members of the Tecoma 8 themselves although they were limited in what they could say and where they could march too due to the Supreme Court Injunction. The rally was even larger than the first No Macca’s rally in Tecoma which was held in March. Yet another fantastic show of strength, passion and resistance! In a surprising twist a new roof occupation had also began by our new “roof angel” by the end of the rally!
