To those intending to participate in any direct actions at the site of the proposed McDonald’s outlet in Tecoma, it is vital that you read the following guidelines.
Throughout this campaign we have gained respect and support globally from individuals and media. This is due to the creative and respectful actions we have employed to voice our disgust at this ‘inappropriate development’. If this support is to continue it is vital that we all maintain the high level of integrity that has been shown so far.
We invite people who join us in support to respect the following Peaceful Direct Action Guidelines:

Code of Conduct
We carry out peaceful and creative direct actions with the goal of stopping the demolition of Saffron Cottage and the Hazelvale Dairy, and the further intention of stopping a McDonald’s being built in Tecoma.
We invite people who join us in support to respect the following Peaceful Direct Action Guidelines:
• Our actions will be both verbally and physically nonviolent.
• We will respectfully engage with each other, workers, police, and the broader public, even if
they are not showing us the same courtesy.
• We will endeavour to keep the situation calm.
• We will be mindful of each other’s physical and emotional welfare.
• In the interest of safety and media representation, we will request that no children or pets be present.
• We commit to debriefing and following up with people who participate.
• We will have designated roles with lines of responsibility (e.g: media liaison, police liaison, legal observer) and ask for these to be respected.
• We will not consider an action over until every person has been released from police custody, or is free to leave.
• We will not consider this campaign over until any resulting court cases are completed.

I used to have a coffee at McDonalds. Not any more. I am getting out my orange gear and camera. Is the bakery at still at Tecoma?
There was a case in America where thousands of people ate large quantities of baked beans before attending a meeting. I like the idea of forming orderly lines at the counter in Boronia.
